What is Fons Català?

Fons Català is an organisation created in Salt in 1986 that consists of more than 300 city councils and other supra-local bodies that allocate part of their budget to fund development cooperation and international solidarity actions all over the world.

The Observatory is an accountability tool of Fons Català to report on the work that it carries out, but also a tool to analyse the reality of the cooperation that is developed from the local bodies of Catalonia.

CCASPS

Catalan city councils in solidarity with Western Sahara

The Catalan Coordinating Committee of City Councils in Solidarity with the Saharawi People (CCASPS, as per the Catalan acronym) brings together nearly 50 city councils throughout Catalonia which work on cooperation and solidarity towards Saharawi refugees and support defenders of human rights in the occupied territories of Western Sahara.

Confederation of Cooperation and Solidarity Funds

CONFOCOS was born in 1995 as a framework for coordination and joint representation of the various Cooperation and Solidarity Funds existing in the Spanish State in all those issues that, due to their importance, affect their common interests.
